By Texas Trust Credit Union
Since our founding in 1936 as Chance Vought Aircraft Federal Credit Union, our guiding philosophy has remained steadfast: people helping people. What began as a small, employee-based credit union serving the dedicated workers of the Chance Vought Aircraft Corporation in Grand Prairie has grown into what we proudly know today as Texas Trust Credit Union.
Each year, we honor that legacy by hosting a special event for our retirees—those who laid the foundation for everything we’ve become. Employees volunteer their time to serve and celebrate these remarkable individuals as they gather to reminisce, share laughter, and remember those who are no longer with us. It’s more than a reunion; it’s a living tribute to the values and vision that shaped our credit union.
For current employees, this cherished event is a powerful opportunity to connect with the past and gain a deeper appreciation for the legacy they are now part of. It stands as a cornerstone of our culture—reminding us not only of where we began, but also how far we’ve come and where we’re headed. Being among the pioneers who helped build Texas Trust is both nostalgic and deeply humbling. Their stories, spirit, and continued connection to our mission reinforce the importance of service, community, and continuity—principles that have guided us through nearly nine decades of growth and transformation. Their legacy inspires us to carry the torch forward with pride and purpose.
To our retirees, we extend our deepest gratitude. Your service, leadership, and unwavering belief in the credit union philosophy have left an indelible mark on Texas Trust. You are, and always will be, a vital part of our story.
